Transferring sensitive data by email

If you must transfer sensitive data by email, consider :-

encrypting files using iZip, p7zip, 7zip, gpg
password protecting files - eg Office 2007 and later, OpenOffice, Libreoffice

You should exchange the password separately - eg by phone.
