Introduction to Java Programming 2010–2011 — Lab Exercises Chapter 3

Suggested exercises for Chapter 3 material

Ideally you will work through all the exercises in the chapter. However, if you do not have time, concentrate on the following:

Pay particular attention to the section on using the debugger (presented in Lecture 4).

Fourth Edition:
3.1–3.4; 3.6–3.11; 3.15–3.18; 3.29; 3.33–3.40.
Third Edition:
3.1–3.4; 3.6–3.11; 3.15–3.17; 3.27; 3.31–3.38.

Remember you are in charge of your own learning. It is advisable to work through the exercises before the lab session so that you come with questions for the demonstrator. Use the exercises to make sure that you understand the concepts. You may need to only try a few exercises, or you may need to work through every exercise rather than just the recommended ones.
