The course aims to develop practical programming skills, so it is mainly assessed through practicals. The breakdown of marks is as follows:

10% | A multi-choice question exam held in lab half way through term |
43% | A second practical programming assignment, this one developing a simple adventure game. |
10% | A second multi-choice question exam held towards the end of term |
3% | PeerWise: this year we're trying out PeerWise, to help students to prepare for the MCQ exams. |
