Honours Project (INF-4-PROJ):
Calendar for 2011-12

The ug4 project runs continuously through the academic year, from week 1 of semester 1 until week 11 of semester 2; however, there will be some intensive periods when ug4 project students should be working full-time on their project

Semester 1

Project work should get well underway during weeks 1-5, because this period is less likely to have other coursework deadlines. Work should continue (amongst your other coursework) in weeks 6-10. You will also have weeks 11-13 to work full time on your project.

Semester 2

Work on the project must restart quickly in weeks 1-5, when there will also be fewer coursework deadlines. This will include starting to write your project dissertation. Work should continue (amongst your other coursework) in weeks 6-10. You will have week 11 and part of week 12 to concentrate full time on finishing/polishing your project dissertation.

Intermediate 4th year project reports, MINF (4th year) Project Planning reports, and MINF (5th year) Intermediate reports due	Friday 25th January
Third project group meetings	Week commencing 18th February (Week 6, semester 2)
Submission deadline for 4th year project dissertation, MINF (5th year) project dissertation, MINF (4th year) Project Phase 1 reports	4pm, Wednesday 3rd April (middle of Week 12, semester 2)
Project presentations (majority)	Week commencing Monday 29th April (Week 1 of Examination period)
