Aims and objectives

This course aims to introduce and illustrate the distinctive methods of each of these approaches. It is both philosophical and practical: we will show that familiar, everyday communication is not as simple as it appears, and illustrate how the different disciplines may help our understanding of some challenging and often surprising phenomena.
