The lab material is available on GitHub at https://github.com/CSTR-Edinburgh/mlpractical. You do not require a github login to use this. Each new lab will correspond to a new branch in git.
See environment-set-up.md on the github for details about getting started.
Labs use iPython and Jupyter notebook. There are many Python/numpy tutorials on the web, I think that this is a good one: http://cs231n.github.io/python-numpy-tutorial/.
Solutions for each week's lab notebook will be included in the corresponding notebook in the branch you checkout with the following week's material.
You should attend one 1-hour scheduled lab session per week.
Labs will start in week 2 (week of Monday 25 September) and will take place in the Appleton Tower as follows:
Please sign up for a lab at https://doodle.com/poll/psudmbud9n4fqs3d. When you sign up please include both your name and student number. This doodle poll has dates for week 2, but you are signing up for the same time each week for the rest of the semester. Please note that a maximum of 36 people can sign up to for each lab time.
