Information theory assessed assignment

Here are the questions and associated materials for the OLD 2014 Informatics Information Theory course assignment.

The assignment is on NB for queries if anything is unclear.

Assignment Questions (PDF)
thesis.txt — ASCII text file containing only a-z and space.
received.dat — received packets (bytes) from digital fountain.
received.txt — same bytes but decimal values of bytes in text format.
packets.txt — row n lists which source packets/bytes were combined to make received byte n.
