- Abstract:
-
This book provides a practical methodology for knowledge model building, verifying, validating and reasoning. What differentiates this book from other knowledge modeling exercises is that it proposes an approach that is business and organisation context-aware. It also provides a relative comprehensive view over a knowledge modelling - in that it contains both data and process aspects. Business objectives and rationale are being captured and a large number (104) of illustrative pattern and example knowledge models are provided. Formal approach are described in detail alongside with design rationale. It is, therefore, an ideal candidate to be used as a reference book and has been used for such purposes in Informatics for years (drafts of the book was already in used by students and other researchers before its publication).
