Interdisciplinary Tea

Meetings Held Weekly Throughout Term-Time: Mondays, 4pm, usually in the Informatics Forum, room G.07A.

The Interdisciplinary Tea (IDT) seminar series is intended to encourage wider interaction among students and young researchers working in different subdisciplines of Informatics and related areas. The IDT meets every week during term-time and has the format of informal, highly interactive 30-minute talks, followed by some discussion and tea and biscuits.

The talks are pitched at a general level in order to appeal to a wide range of listeners, avoiding technical details as much as possible, and may address work in progress or more fully developed ideas. The purpose of the seminar is to provide a forum for postgraduate students, new or visiting staff and students, and those embarking on their career to present their work and receive feedback from others with a different perspective on the subject matter, and to stimulate the interdisciplinary environment within the Informatics community.

All staff and students are welcome to attend the talks.

Further Information: If you wish to subscribe to the IDT mailing list, to receive announcements about forthcoming talks, please do so here:
