RAE 2008 Important Dates

Here are a list of the key dates and time periods concerning RAE 2008.

• Assessment Period: 1.1.01-31.7.07. This is the period during which the research environment is assessed and the period during which esteem indicators must have been gained.
• Publication Period: 1.1.01-31.12.07. This is the period during which research outputs must have been put in the public domain.
• Census Date: 31.10.07. Staff are considered to be affliated to the institution that employed them on this date.
• Early Career Researchers' Qualification Date: 1.8.03. If staff became eligible for RAE submission only after this date then they count as early career researchers, which entitles them to various dispensations.
