Informatics Fourth Year Honours Course Guide
Informatics 4th Year Calendar

The following dates have been published by the ITO and require action from you. You will be reminded of these deadlines as they approach by a message on the UG4 newsgroup (eduni.inf.ug4). It is very important that you meet these deadlines since otherwise your student record is likely to become inaccurate.  This page will be updated throughout the session.

Friday of Week 1, Semester 1.  All students must have completed the Informatics online registration form with all their course choices for the whole year. These choices are not binding at this point but students must register for the correct number of courses (the ITO will contact students who register for too many points or too few). They will also do their best to check whether students have chosen valid courses for their degree but responsbility for this remains with the students. The online form will be removed at this time and students must use the ITO Contact Form for all subsequent course changes.

Wednesday of Week 2, Semester 2.  Last chance to tell the ITO about any course changes for the whole academic year. Students can check their course registration details on Wisard at any time using the UoE Web Portal.

Important note.  Registry will be taking students' exam registration details direct from Wisard. It is therefore vital that your course registration is correct by the appropriate deadlines. All Informatics final year courses will be examined after the end of the second semester. For this reason you are not required to make a final choice till the second semester as indicated above. If you choose to study a level 10 course of 10 points in another School then you must check when it is examined. If this is at the end of the first sememster then you must register for it before October.

Monday of Week 13 (i.e., 2 weeks after Week 11), Semester 2.  All coursework must be handed back to the ITO by this date.  This is required by the External Examiner and the rest of the Board of Examiners.
