We actively encourage student feedback on all course and administrative issues. This can be done using a
Course Questionnaire, by mailing the
Year Organiser directly, or directly contacting your Class Representatives.
Courses:
This section takes you to the MSc Course Descriptor pages (and from there to the Course Homepages). Each Course Descriptor contains information about pre-requisites, organisational details, aims, syllabus, methods of assessment, intended learning outcomes and a reading list. The Course Homepages provide further information, including lecture material distributed throughout the session. Some Level 11 courses also have a Level 10 version (for the UG4 programme), these courses are likely to share the same lectures but may vary in the assessment.
Please note that each course is allocated to a Programme Collection, these are indicated in a separate column, see the list of Informatics courses below . It is possible for a course to be allocated to more than one Programme Collection, in which case you can count it in which ever way you prefer in order to satisfy the regulations of your degree.
Courses listed as "5" under "Normal Year Taken" are automatically open to MSc candidates.

Projects:
In the spring, you will be given access to a list of projects proposed by staff members and other people associated with the School. This list is used to help with the project allocation process (more detail on this nearer the time). Alternatively, if you can find a member of staff who is able to supervise you, you are encouraged to propose your own project. If you decide to choose this option then we recommend you start to think about the subject area of your project in plenty of time. Students who decided to propose their own project are required to prepare a proposal for acceptance by your supervisor and the MSc Projects Co-ordinator. The project proposal must be consistent with your choice of MSc Specialism. The Projects Co-Ordinator is
Alex Lascarides.
