Individual Report

Your individual report is intended to be an opportunity to demonstrate your personal involvement in the project, and to reflect on what you learnt from the experience. It should consist of two parts:

• A short but clear description of one key contribution that you were directly responsible for (e.g. designing the physical robot, solving a software problem, pulling together several strands of work). This should detail what you did and why it was important (1-2 pages).
• A reflection on what skills you acquired in the course, what you learned about yourself, and what you learned about group work and project management. This can include lessons about what not to do - e.g., you could explain something the group did which turned out to be a mistake - the assessment will be based on your ability to recognise and learn from this, rather than penalising you for having made a mistake! (1 page).

The deadline for the individual report is 4pm on Wednesday April 17. Each group member should submit their own document electronically by using the submit command:
submit sdp ipr [filename]
where [filename] is the name of your individual report file. The filename must be [g]-[s]-report.pdf where [g] is your group number and [s] is your student number.

The document should also be emailed to the group mentor and to the TA at the time of submission.

Assessment

The individual report will contribute 10% of the marks for the course, and will be marked out of 10.

The marking will be based on the following elements:

• up to 4 marks for the description of your key contribution.
• up to 4 marks for your analysis of what you learned.
• up to 2 marks for the quality of the report.
