SAPM: Software Architecture, Process, and Management
This is the home page for the School of Informatics course
"SAPM: Software Architecture, Process, and Management", given by James
A. Bednar in January-March 2008.
- 18 Dec 07: These pages will be updated regularly once the semester
begins, so please check this page and the lecture notes page at
least weekly for news. Be sure to refresh both pages in your browser
before deciding there is no news.
- 19 Dec 07: The first class meeting will be Tuesday, 8 Jan 2008
at 3:00pm sharp, in OIB 2.13. OIB is the
Old Infirmary Building, better known as the Geography building,
accessible from the north side of Drummond Street. If you
have not previously had a course in this location, please allow
extra time for locating the classroom.
- 4 Feb 08: To avoid duplication with CS2, we will not be
examining requirements engineering in any detail. If you have not
taken CS2 (now called Inf2), you should read up more on
requirements and requirements engineering.
- 15 Feb 08: To avoid duplication with SEOC and with CS2, not to
mention the new, separate course on software testing, we will
not be examining verification and validation in any detail in SAPM.
If you have not taken one of these courses, you should read the
SEOC notes on software testing, plus the
SAPM notes from 2006-2007.
You will at least be expected to know clear-box vs. black-box
testing, plus how to do unit/integration/system/regression testing
and why they are each important.
- 15 Apr 08: Big news:
a SW project succeeds!.
