Information on Java Bayes

Java Bayes

Java Bayes is a Java program for carrying out calculations in belief networks. It was written by Fabio Cozman.

A user manual is available.

To use JavaBayes, you should log into a DICE machine and type

javabayes
Two windows will appear. One is the editor, where you create and edit networks (both units and CPTs), specify observations and make queries. The other is the console, where you can load in existing networks (using "open"), save networks, quit or make several other commands. There are various formats to save networks in; the default bif format is fine for our purposes.

Example networks can be found in the directory /usr/share/doc/javabayes-0.346/Examples/ .
