Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition, Autumn 2016

Welcome! Machine learning is about developing algorithms that adapt their behaviour to data, to provide useful representations or make predictions. This course is for those wanting to research and develop machine learning methods in future.

Prospective students: Please check that you have the required pre-requisites before taking this course. See the background material and self-test in the class notes.

This course and these webpages will be updated in September 2017, but the content will be similar to the 2016/17 course.

Lecturer: Iain Murray
Location: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 10–10:50am, Lecture Hall B DHT Lecture Theatres
Office Hour: Mondays 12:15pm– Appleton Tower cafe area. Until 14 Nov.
Expected lecture dates: 2016-09-20 to 2016-11-25, no lecture Tuesday 2016-11-22.
