Inf1OP JUnit check

In past years, it has turned out that a few students never jumped the hurdle of learning to run JUnit tests on their code and act on the results. So I've added this exercise to reassure as many people as possible (and me) that they do have this basic skill, and to alert the rest. (If you find this too trivial for words, sorry; there are special instructions for you in the JUnit test file, but please do the basic thing too so I know I don't have to chivvy you!)

You will need (I'm deliberately not giving direct links, because you need to know how to find corresponding things for other exams, and there are links from the course home page already!):

Instructions:
  1. Read question 1a, beginning "Implement class Cost".
  2. Create a new project in Eclipse, and import the basic tests file.
  3. Following the question, write just enough code to pass the basic tests.

You will find that one of the tests in this special version has nothing to do with the question, and fails. However, running it will give you instructions that will enable you to pass it and get a token.

  4. Come back to this page and paste or type your student id and your token in below, and press Send.
If you have any trouble, this video might help (note it was made a couple of years ago, so the use of basic tests is no longer "new this year"!):
