Informatics 1 Cognitive Science
Assessment
The assessment on this course will consist of:
- Three assessed assignments, worth 40% in total.
- A final exam (120 minutes), worth 60%.
Feedback
Throughout the course, students will received feedback on their
performance:
- Lectures will feature short, non-assessed quizzes that students
will solve during the lectures. The lecturer will provided immediate
feedback on these quizzes.
- Tutorials will be based on the discussion of non-assessed
exercises provided to the students ahead of the tutorials. Students
are expected to solve these exercises in preparation for the
tutorials.
- The solutions to tutorial exercises will be discussed in the
tutorials and both individual feedback and group feedback will be
provided by the tutor.
- Sample solutions will be released for tutorial exercises.
- Lecture quizzes and tutorial exercises are designed to prepare
students for both the assessed assignments and the course exam.
- Assessed assignments will be returned to students within two
weeks. Individual, written comments will be provided to each student
by the marker.
- The solutions to assignments will be discussed in the tutorials,
and feedback on the performance of the group will be provided.
- Sample solutions will be released for assessesed assignments.
Exam Information
This course will be examined at the end of the semester with a 120 min
closed-book exam, no calculators allowed. The rubric of the exam will
be as follows: Answer part A consisting of short answer questions
and part B consisting of two extendend questions. Both parts A and
