Persona

For the persona methodology you have two options:
  1. Create one persona
  2. Evaluate the interface using a GenderMag persona

Option 1: Create one persona

For this option you will need to write a new persona which embodies a standard type of person from your user group. If possible, I recommend using some of the data generated by your group member who did the design requirements methodology.

Writeup

Your writeup must address the following points:

Resources

The following resources are good places to start looking for guidance on designing a persona. There are many good resources, find the ones that fit your needs to best.

Option 2: GenderMag

Option 2 is another version of a Cognitive Walkthrough, except instead of using Neilson's 10 heuristics you will be using one of the GenderMag personas. The key difference is that in standard heuristic evaluation you are looking to see if the user interface violates the heuristic. In a persona-based cognitive walkthrough you instead ask if the persona is likely to complete the task correctly. The GenderMag protocol is very well explained and documented, please read through the documentation to help understand how to complete this method. The GenderMag guidance as written is intended for group sessions. You do not need to do it as a group, it is only required that a single person go through the process for this course work.
