Assignments 2010

Assignments will be posted as they are assigned. Please keep in mind:

• All assessed assignments are worth 10% of your final mark.
• Assessed assignments should be typewritten and handed in to ITO at 16:00 on the due date.
• Assessed work is normally not collaborative, and should be done individually unless explicitly specified in the assignment. You are encouraged to collaborate on unassessed work. Information and policies on plagiarism can be found here.

I may add an additional un-assessed problem set at some point in the second half of the course for practice with probabilistic models.

Help with Cogent

Here are a a few useful tips for using Cogent and making screen shots. You can also check the online documentation for Cogent. Here are the things you'll be most likely to find helpful:

• To see definitions of the properties available in processes and buffers, click on the process or buffer type under "Class Hierarchy", and you'll see the relevant info for that type. The info for processes also has some basics about the rule editor.
• To see definitions of built-in conditions and qualifiers, click on "built-in conditions" under "Further reference".
