Costs of Postgraduate Study
Annual costs include a
tuition fee, additional programme costs and living expenses. Tuition
fees and additional programme costs are payable for each year of active
study, typically 1 year for MSc, 2 years for MPhil and 3 years for PhD.

considered to be laboratory based.

A wide variety of
scholarships and loans may help to cover some or all of your costs.
There are opportunities for postgraduates to undertake employment
within the School, for example, helping with undergraduate teaching as
a tutor or demonstrator. However this can only make a minor
contribution to your overall budget.
