Congratulations to Professor Alan Bundy who has won the 2007 Herbrand Award.
The Herbrand Award for Distinguished Contributions to Automated
Reasoning, has been established in 1992 to honor an individual
or (a group of) individuals for exceptional contributions to the
field of Automated Deduction. It is named after the French mathematician and logician Jacques Herbrand (1908-1931) and is considered to be the most renowned international research prize in this area.
The award will be presented at the CADE conference, 17-20 July 2007, Bremen, Germany.
In addition to the Herbrand Award, Professor Alan Bundy has also won the IJCAI 2007 Award for Research Excellence,
which is given to a scientist who has carried out a program of research
of consistently high quality yielding several substantial results.
