Alan Bundy wins IJCAI Award for Research Excellence

The School of Informatics is proud to announce that Professor Alan Bundy has won the IJCAI Award for Research Excellence. This award is given to a scientist who has carried out a program of research of consistently high quality yielding several substantial results.

This is the third award to an Edinburgh AI pioneer, Donald Michie and Goffrey Hinton being past recipients.

Alan Bundy is the only researcher to have won both the Award for Research Excellence and the The Donald E. Walker Distinguished Service Award. IJCAI is the International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence, the main international gathering of researchers and practitioners in Artificial Intelligence.
