Course: Agent Based Systems
Type: Teaching Assistant
Time in Year: Course runs in Semester 2, some preparation in Sem 1 needed.
Number of Posts: 1
Description:
Teaching Assistant for Agent-Based Systems, required for (1)
assisting the course lecturer with updating course material (lecture
slides, tutorial exercises, web pages), (2) designing, testing and
marking two practical exercises (this may involve delivering a couple
of lab demonstration sessions to introduce the practicals). See the
course web page http://www.inf.ed.ac.uk/teaching/courses/abs/ and
last year's practicals as examples of possible exercise topics.
The job could be split into parts (1) and (2) as these are unrelated.
For part (1), preference will be given to candidates who have a good
knowledge of Java and Prolog as the practicals will involve use of the
Jason Agent Programming language. For part (2), preference will be
given to candidates with some background in the area. Someone who is
keen to learn, partly in their own time, would be considered too.
This post is paid at grade UE06,
