Description:
NLU is a new course being taught for the first time in Autumn 2009.
The course will build on the Jurafsky and Martin text book (2nd
edition), but will also use a collection of research papers.
The TA will be responsible for:
- helping to develop questions for the assignments (including support code and sample solutions)
- marking of the assignments
Skills:
The TA will need to be familiar with natural language processing
methods, and ideally will have experience of applying these methods to
the topics covered in the course: parsing, semantic and discourse
processing, grammar induction. Programming skills (e.g., Python, Perl,
Java) are also required.
This post is paid at grade UE06,
currently upwards of £12.50/hr.
