Description:
IAML was taught for the first time in Autumn 2008.
The course text will be Data Mining (2e) by Ian H. Witten and
Eibe Frank, Morgan Kaufmann (2005).
There are 4 sessions for each tutorial group. Each tutor will be expected to take (at least) 2 groups.
There will be specific exercises set in advance of the tutorial, and
all students are expected to prepare these prior to the tutorial
session. The tutor's job is to lead the group through the
exercises, answer questions etc.
Skills:
The tutor will need to be familiar with machine learning methods.
Having done well in courses like LfD and DME would be suitable
preparation.
This post is paid at grade UE06,
currently upwards of £12.50/hr.
