Course:  Human-Computer Interaction

Type:  Teaching Assistant

Time in Year:  Course runs in Semester 1, some preparation time before the semester starts would be helpful.

Number of Posts:  1 TA

Description:

Teaching Assistant for Human Computer Interaction required primarily to help maintain, support and mark the practical exercise. Details of last year's exercise (creating a speech synthesis demo) are here:  http://www.inf.ed.ac.uk/teaching/courses/hci/0809/pracs/ug4.html

Ideally this practical would be re-used, but it may require some redesign. In particular we may want to change to using the Festival Speech synthesis system, so familiarity with this system would be very helpful.

The post may also involve marking of the MSc course exercise described here: http://www.inf.ed.ac.uk/teaching/courses/hci/0809/pracs/msc.html

This post is paid at grade UE06, currently upwards of £12.50/hr.
