Course: Multi-agent Semantic Wedb Systems
Type: Teaching Assistant
Time in Year: Course runs in Semester 2, some preparation in Sem 1 needed.
Number of Posts: 1
Description:
Teaching Assistant for Multi Agent Semantic Web Systems, required
primarily to construct, test and mark two practical exercises: one
involving RDF(S) for ontology construction (interfaced with either
Python or Java), the other on connecting a simple agent system to a web
service (possibly using Jason). Last year, the second kind of exercise
was missing, so this will need to be built from scratch. See the course
web page for relevant background: http://www.inf.ed.ac.uk/teaching/courses/masws/.
Knowledge of both of the exercise topic areas is an advantage, although
someone who is keen to learn, partly in their own time, would be
considered too. The job could also be split, although preference will
be given to applicants who can support both exercises.
There might also be some scope for running a couple of demonstration lab sessions, though this will be decided nearer the time.
This post is paid at grade UE06,
currently upwards of £12.50/hr. Double time for tutoring.
Total Hours: up to 80 hours (depending on student numbers)
