Description:
This is a new 4th year course that is intended to give students an
understanding of the theory and practice of large-scale,
knowledge-based systems operating in an open, distributed environment.

The main duties are: setting up and maintaining a course web page with
pointers to resources, helping to construct two practical exercises and
marking them, and providing students with support, as required, for
software-related aspects of the practical exercises.
Skills required:
Familiarity with knowledge-based systems and XML is essential;
knowledge of multi-agent systems and Semantic Web technologies (e.g.,
RDF, ontologies, web services) would be an advantage.
Total Hours: up to 50 hours, paid at the demonstrator rate
