Logic 1h Tutors

The Department of Philosophy seeks tutors for Logic 1h. The
course comprises an introduction to Formal Logic with a small
component of Philosophical Logic. Material covered includes,
Propostional Logic--natural deduction, truth tables, semantic trees;
First -Order Predicate Calculus-- natural deduction, informal
semantics; Vagueness; Paradoxes of Entailment.

Tutors meet with groups of between 10 and 15 students to discuss
lecture material and exercise assignments. There are 9 meetings,
commencing week 3 of Autumn termn, ending week 3 of Spring
Term. Tutors a re asked to mark homework assignments and one
in-class exam.
