| Date | Meeting in Connection with... | Present | Additional Information |
| 30-04-09 | Degree Programme Table Workshop | N.McGillivray & I.Stark | Informatics DPTs are now available via the DRPS. Future DPT revisions should be highlighted to Ian Stark and Neil McGillivray. The School has full access to all Informatics DPTs, although changes will only presented online once weekly. |
| April 09 | University Annoucement | N.McGillivray | The University announces that the scope of the project has now been reduced, meaning that the future of CCAM, Student Selection and all aspects of Assessment are now unclear. EUCLID have cancelled all April update meetings and hope to provide full information about the future of the project towards the end of May 2009. Please contact Neil McGillivray or Stuart Anderson with any questions or comments. |
| March 09 | College Assessment Business Group | N.McGillivray | Work continues on the Assessment build, particularly the keys parts of the Board of Examiners process, the ability to record interim and final marks at both Stage 1 and 2, student access to final marks and the inclusion of External Examiners. All Science & Engineering Schools continue to discuss the implementation of best practice, in appreciation that the final structure should reflect how best we can do things, not how we currently do things. Several meetings are scheduled to take place through February and March, in the hope that the Business Requirements Document can be signed off in early April. |
| 23-01-09 | Implementation Co-Ordinators Update | N.McGillivray | EUCLID annouce that work on the Assessment side of the project will continue as normal, and that a working party will also be formed to assist with the amendments required to the Admissions software. |
| 20-01-09 | College Learning & Teaching Committee | S.Anderson & N.McGillivray | EUCLID announce the PSG decision to extend the project by 12 months, effectively delaying the migration of courses, student selection and assessment parts of the project until the start of 2010/11. The work on migrating the DPTs will continue, with these being managed via EUCLID from the start of 2009/10. |
| 16-01-09 | Checking of Migrated Informatics DPTs | N.McGillivray, I.Stark, M.Cole, F.Keller, A.Smaill | The School owns 31 degree programmes, each currently presented like this. In EUCLID each year of an individual programme will be considered to be the DPT, see here. This meant that the School had to approve >100 separate DPTs that had been migrated into the new format. These were all closely checked, highlight 58 errors (many duplicated across all degrees) and a few questions about how to best represent our existing rules within the new rule based system. Discussions with EUCLID will continue until each of these questions/errors have been resolved. |
| 15-10-09 | Follow up on 11-12-08 College Briefing | N.McGillivray | EUCLID met with all SCE Teaching Administrators to provide a follow up on the actions raised at the 11 December 08 meeting. The meeting discussed possible go-live dates for student selection, work-a-rounds for Schools who currently ask students to provide a ranked list of their course choices, the timeline for course preparation pre April go-live, training needs and engagement of academic staff. It was agreed that Teaching Administrators should be invited to the next College Learning & Teaching Committee to contribute to similar discussions. |
| 17-12-08 | Planning & Resources Committee | N.McGillivray | ITO to ask Planning & Resources Committee to consider the implications of what EUCLID will do to the School's internal schedulilng timetable, including sabbaticals, allocation of duties and completion of course materials. The tabled document is available here. |
| 11-12-08 | College CCAM, PCAM and Student Selection Briefing | S.Anderson, N.McGillivray & G.Watt | EUCLID provided all CSE Schools with an early introduction of the screens that will support the CCAM, PCAM and student selection parts of the system. Schools were given the opoprtunity to comment and feedback. Particular concerns raised by ITO included; the availability of the portal at selection time, the relationship between course instances and VUG courses, the numbering of the weeks in the timetabling tool, the opportunity to have students register onto tutorial groups themselves. |
| 05-11-08 | CCAM Design Partner Meeting | N.McGillivray | For an update on the work of the CCAM Design Team, see the CCAM 'PROGRESS' section. |
| 14-10-08 | Implementation Co-Ordinators Update | N.McGillivray | The EUCLID team provided updates on the PG Admissions Go-Live and a calendar of future events related to the Aseessment part of the project, see the relevant 'PROGRESS' links here. |
| 19-09-08 | Assessment Demo | K.Kalorkoti, J.Fleuriot, M.Cole, I.Stark, J.Bathgate, G.Watt, H.Pain, S.Gilmore & N.McGillivray | See the Assessment 'PROGRESS' section for a summary of this demonstration. |
| 03-09-08 | Implementation Co-Ordinators Update | N.McGillivray | The EUCLID team provided updates on progress with the PG Admissions, CCAM and Assessment parts of the project, see the relevant 'PROGRESS' links here. |
| 01-08-08 | CCAM Design Partner Meeting | N.McGillivray | For an update on the work of the CCAM Design Team, see the CCAM 'PROGRESS' section. |
| 31-07-08 | PG Admissions Demo | A.Finnie, P.Ferguson, A. Hobbs, G.Watt, N.Goddard, J.Young & N.McGillivray | See the PG Admissions 'PROGRESS' section for a summary of this demonstration. |
| 18-06-08 | CCAM Design Partner Meeting | N.McGillivray | EUCLID have appointed a small team of staff to help complete the final stages of the CCAM design. Neil has been asked to contribute to this work, further information available in the CCAM 'PROGRESS' section. |
| 13-06-08 | Assessment, CCAM and PCAM | I.Stark | See the Assessment and CCAM 'PROGRESS' sections for more information. |
| 11-06-08 | Assessment Update | S.Anderson & N.McGillivray | See the Assessment 'PROGRESS' section for more information. |

| 08-05-08 | CCAM and PCAM Progress, and the way Informatics staff and students use the DRPS | I.Stark, S.Anderson & N.McGillivray | Ian, Stuart and Neil met with Lorraine Corbett and Franck Bergeret to discuss how we use the existing DPRS pages, the structure of our DPTs and other internal pages that we use to manage our course proposals and student choices. Lorraine and Franck were interested to find out more about our sortable course list, and the information we hold on our course descriptor pages. It is very likely that these internal pages will become redundant after 2008/09, meaning we are now working with EUCLID to find a way of including our needs in the new system. See the CCAM 'PROGRESS' section for more information. |
| 30-04-08 | Implementation Co-Ordinators Update | N.McGillivray | EUCLID provided an overall progress report, particularly updates in the areas of PCAM, CCAM, Timetabling and Assessment. See relevant 'PROGRESS' links here. |
| 18-04-08 | Presentation of UG Admissions System to PG Admissions Staff | D.Sannella, G.Watt, P.Ferguson, A.Finnie, N.Goddard, J.Gordon & N.McGillivray |
EUCLID gave a demonstration of the UG admissions system, already in use at College Office, to our PG Admissions staff. This was intended as an early insight into the system, as well as an opportunity to raise any continuing PG concerns or observations. Although this was a useful session, it was generally felt that PG staff would need to see the PG system before being able to properly comment. EUCLID advise that early access to parts of the PG system will be available in June 2008. |
| 17-03-08 | Revised EUCLID Change and Communications Approach | N.McGillivray | Neil met with Zeta Poulorini (Training Consultatnt for Science & Engineering) to discuss various aspects of the way EUCLID communicate with Schools, and ways in which we could improve this interaction. We discussed PG Admissions progress and agreed that Zeta would give a presentation of the UG system to our PG admissions staff asap. We also discussed whether work was continuing with the Assessment part of the project, noting that Informatics had already done a lot of preparatory work in this area, and would be keen to talk again with the EUCLID team to maintain momentum. |
